๐ฅ NINJA DOJO ๐ฅ
VICTORY!
๐ CHOOSE YOUR MEDAL! ๐
๐ PARENT GUIDE
๐ฎ How to Play
Ninja Dojo is a memory matching game where two players take turns flipping cards to find pairs. When a pair is matched, that player earns a point!
- Players take turns clicking cards to flip them
- Find matching pairs to score
- The player with the most matches wins
- Winner chooses a medal for their Honour Wall
๐ Honour Wall (Medal System)
After each match, the winner selects a medal to add to their Honour Wall. Each player can collect up to 20 medals before their wall automatically resets to zero.
Both players select a medal in case of a tie!
๐ Training Record (Stats)
Track your child’s speech accuracy over time! The game records:
- Date and time of each session
- Training level (Word/Phrase/Sentence)
- Number of correct vs incorrect productions
- Accuracy percentage
Click “RECORD” button to see all sessions and download as PDF!
Session Notes: You can add comments to each session (observations, progress, challenges). These notes are saved and included in the PDF export.
๐จ Card Colors
When players match cards, they light up in different colors:
- Player 1 (Ninja 1): Hot pink glow
- Player 2 (Ninja 2): Purple glow
This makes it easy to see who matched which pairs!

Voiced TH (as in “this”, “that”, “they”):
- Place your tongue tip between your teeth
- Turn your voice ON
- Let air flow gently through
- You should feel vibration in your throat
Voiceless TH (as in “think”, “thumb”, “thunder”):
- Place your tongue tip between your teeth
- Turn your voice OFF
- Push air gently through (like a whisper)
- No throat vibration
Practice tip: Place your hand on your throat. With voiced TH, you’ll feel vibration. With voiceless TH, you won’t!
๐ Progression Through Levels
LEVEL 1: WORD LEVEL
Goal: Child can say the target word correctly in isolation
- Ask child to say the word 5 times per card
- Provide immediate feedback on each production
- Model correct production if needed
- Track accuracy using โ CORRECT / โ INCORRECT buttons
Move to Phrase Level when accuracy reaches 80% or higher
LEVEL 2: PHRASE LEVEL
Goal: Child can say the target word correctly in a 2-word phrase
- Add simple words like “my”, “the”, “big”, “red” after the target word
- Examples: “think fast”, “three cats”, “thunder storm”
- Ask for 3-5 productions per card
- Continue providing feedback and modeling
Move to Sentence Level when accuracy reaches 80% or higher
LEVEL 3: SENTENCE LEVEL
Goal: Child can say the target word correctly in short sentences
- Use 3-5 word grammatically correct sentences
- Carrier phrase suggestion: “I can ___”
- Examples: “I can think”, “I see three”, “I hear thunder”
- Model sentences first, then have child repeat
- Ask for 3-5 productions per card
Continue practicing at this level until accuracy is consistently above 80%
โ ๏ธ Important Notes
- Don’t rush: Progress to the next level only when your child consistently achieves 80% accuracy
- Be positive: Praise effort and improvement, not just perfect production
- Keep it fun: Short, frequent practice sessions work better than long ones
- Moving to conversation: Once your child masters sentence level, they may still need support to use the sound in spontaneous speech
- Need more help? If your child continues to have difficulty after consistent practice, consider consulting a speech pathologist for personalised strategies
